This tour explores the colorful, diverse and historic San Antonio region including a touch of the famous Texas cowboy culture and the area's multi-cultural heritage. With a single hotel stay in the renowned Riverwalk District, the city's cafes, shops, historic landmarks and museums are easily visited. You'll be transported back to the dramatic conflict at the Alamo and learn about the days of the Spanish missions at the Mission San José while the Institute of Texas Cultures tells the story of the immigrants who traveled far to settle in Texas. Following a relaxing river cruise along the Paseo del Rio, experience Tex-Mex cuisine during a private cooking class, where you can make and then enjoy your own creations. You will also visit President Lyndon B Johnson's (LBJ's) ranch now a national park and make a stop in Luckenbach where Willie and Waylan and the boys hung out. Wrap up your trip with a final dinner and evening of rollicking entertainment at an authentic dude ranch in the "Cowboy Capital of the World," Bandera, Texas.

Terms and conditions:

A $250 PER PERSON, nonrefundable deposit is required 
at time of reservation. All rates guaranteed upon deposit. Payment in full is due 60 days before the tour departure. Payments accepted by check, money order or most major credit cards. A $25 handling charge will be assessed for reservation changes. All prices are $US and subject to change and availability.


Cancellation charges:
  • Between 16-60 days prior to departure: 20% of total price;
  • 1 - 15 days prior to departure: 40% of total price;
  • Day of departure or later: 100%
Cancellation Waiver and Insurance is available for $30 per person.


Your flights to San Antonio should be scheduled to arrive prior to 4pm on Day 1 of the tour

Day 1: Arrive San Antonio, Texas It's easy to see why San Antonio is often referred to as the American Venice. Sidewalk cafes, historic architecture, and a beautiful river centerpiece make this a truly remarkable city. Celebrate the beginning of your tour at dinner with your fellow travelers. (D)


Day 2: San Antonio Your day begins with a fascinating tour of San Antonio, stopping at The Alamo, the Institute of Texas Cultures, and the Mission San Joséqueen of the missions. The remainder of the day is at leisure to discover San Antonio on your own (B,)


Day 3: San Antonio - Stonewall - Luckenbach - Bandera - San Antonio This is a full day out. You will leave the hotel around 8am and do not return until 9pm or so.

  • Morning: Travel to Stonewall to enjoy a tram ride tour of the LBJ Ranch, birthplace of the 36th President of the United States. On your tour of the ranch you will view the Texas White House.
  • Afternoon: Stop for 1-2 hours in the cowboy town of Luckenbach, Texas made famous in song by Waylon Jennings. Enjoy a visit to the Luckenbach General Store that has been in operation since 1849. Also journey to the heart of hill country to the German settlement of Fredericksburg for a short visit.
  • Evening: Take out your spurs for dinner and rootin' tootin entertainment at an authentic dude ranch in the Cowboy Capital of the World, Bandera. Arrive at the Mayan Ranch around 5pm in time for a and enjoy a happy hour, barbecue dinner followed by music, dancing and other activities. (B, D)

Day 4: San Antonio Your morning is at leisure to discover more of San Antonio. Later, enjoy a cruise along the Paseo del Rio, also known as the Riverwalk, followed by a private cooking class and farewell dinner (B, D)

Day 5: Depart San Antonio Tour ends. We are certain you will agree: San Antonio's natural beauty, history, cuisine, people and music create an experience you'll always remember. (B)
